5 - Deploy FlexSense
- Ensure you have 2 or 4 AA size Lithium batteries. More info on recommended batteries below.
|
Recommended Batteries: Lithium/Iron Disulfide (Li/FeS2) batteries such as Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA (L91). These have a slightly higher voltage compared to Alkaline.
Batteries Not Recommended:
|
- Insert the batteries into the battery caddy. At least 2 batteries is enough for testing (see below photo) .
- Note: Don’t press the button yet.
- Mount the FlexSense outdoors with full view of the sky in all directions.
- There are four holes for mounting with screws, bolts or cable ties.
- Ensure the FlexSense is mounted as high as possible, with the antenna pointing directly up to the sky.
The area above the top mounting holes (marked red in the below image) must remain clear of all obstructions for best communication.
- Press and hold the button for 3 seconds, FlexSense will power on and a green LED will blink 3 times.
- If FlexSense is installed correctly, you should see messages in less than 48 hours, but in most cases less than 24 hours.
6 - Check Data on Device Manager
- Log in to Device Manager and select the device.
- Click on the ‘+’ on “User Messages History”.
